Truth’s experiment with ME

A knowledgeable person understands that, only half of what said is true. And a wise person finds out which half is true.
The above sentence has the least connection with the rest of the article

NOTE: this is not an auto biography…

Ah! The world has lot of things to teach us. We have lot of things to learn every day. Blah blah blah… all this we know. But the fact that remains hidden is, whether, what we learn is truth or false. Truth is a hidden fact. Confusing rite? That’s how truth is. I guess.

Truth is interesting and equally is false. But the combination of both these, in the same situation is awesome.

Let me put out a few AWESOME experiences from my life.

From the moment I started talking, as a kid, I was told “no lies, please!!” I believe that this is the case with everyone of us. And as I grew, the opportunity to lie grew along with me. But even now, I am told” NO LIES, PLEASE!!” This eventually proves that I still lie. But I don’t have an option, do I?

One of the most happening lie that I lie is, pick up my dad’s cell phone and say “oh hello uncle! Dad has not taken his cell phone with him today. I‘ll surely tell him that you called” in this case, the lie is, my father will definitely be around or I may not even bother to get back on the “I’ll surely tell him” part of the conversation.

The next one, this happened to me when I was in class nine, I went on a temple tour for around 10days. In one of the temples where, our group performed the flower decoration (pushpabishegam) for the idol. I got to sit very close to the idol and witness this. To my surprise I clapped. Later on When I was talking about the day to one elderly friend (Mr. Uncle), I mocked at my own action, as if it was done by a third person. And when Mr. Uncle asked me “so, what is wrong in clapping, that’s also a way of expressing devotion”. After some silence, I said “it was me, who clapped” he said “I know, I saw”.

After my visit to COPENHAGEN, a few of my friends often ask “how did u manage your language there??” Yes they mean my English. It’s because they have not heard me speak good English or I have not made them hear it. That’s when I thought
Truth is the sweetest thing that would ever taste bitter.

But the most recent experiment of truth with me is interesting, the above article;

• The first sentence may have a lot of connections with the rest of the things that follow it
• This may end up being a very important part of my autobiography
• Truth is a hidden fact. May not even be so confusing
• My dad might not even have a cell phone
• This article may not have even been written by me

Yours truly
Its ME

  1. well i can jus say this mate , at times you gotta lie to save the greater truth or jus say the truth to avoid a greater lie ... it happens and is a way of being :-)

  2. Yes for sure we dunno whether wat we learn is true or false. In today's world truth is a small word that is not really given value. In fact, it becomes almost necessary to lie or deceive sometimes as certain situations demand it of us.

But u cant always say that a knowledgeable person understands which is truth and which is not. Lies are told such that people believe its the truth in certain situations; be it a wise man or a knowledgeable person.
The world survives on lies and deception. One needs to only look and observe the people and society, including the world at large to realize that "truth" seems to have become an outdated term.

  3. @harshid: very true.. in case we tell a lie to save the truth its ok... but do we do that??? we jus tell lies to save ourselves or tell lie to add something to our profile... it may not even be wrong, cos its not going to affect anyone... but all not wrong things are defly not always rite..

  4. @ash: in todays world truth is a big word and given lot of value, its preserved. like a museum product. not used, just admired.
and what i am trying to say is a knowledgeable person may not always be able to differentiate between a true statement and the false one, but in todays world, one who does that is knowledgeable and wise. truth and false are more of business tools. for example jus because i say " to be frank", it does not necessarily mean i am frank.

and wise person is not always wise, he is wise only until he meets a wiser person.

  7. lie,don lie;b true, don b;all this lies at the hand of d individual(c lies again!)..lik u said,it would b better if truth was for not only for d sake of savin one's head..n lies-its always d way v c it..u may c it as a lie n may think u got decieved but i may think its not a lie afterall..depends..perception as u put it..lies hav to coexist-say a criminal lawyer for example-only his client n he knows whether he is lyin or not..ya its bitter..but tat's a profession..so whether u lie or not, tat's not d point..its d inner conscience dude..somethin pricks u within wen u utter a lie under unavoidable situations..later u repent for it..v r solely responsible for our lies n one should let his conscience speak rather than his wild tongue..the best part is-some1 lies to u n u kno the truth..so u jus listen to them n laugh at their story..this happens with small children often..its actually so cute..n again, nice post mate..cheers!!

  8. thanks mate, as u said conscience is the factor... but more than that the strength of conscience is important, people often change their principles for their priorities, on which i have no comments.

anyways, a child's lie may be cute.. but thats where things start..

    cheers
